A one day padayatra was held on 14 March 2015 in Northdene in the province of KwaZulu Natal. The following July Dwarkadish Dasa’s desire to go on padayatra was so strong that he planned a small walk in the town of Stanger on the North Coast of Durban. Given the complexities of getting permission from the authorities, it was easier to improvise a palanquin for his Gaura Nitai deities, that was carried by devotees on the padayatra. About 300 plates of prasadam were distributed, and about 50 assorted books were placed in needy hands.
On August 16th devotees organized a third padayatra in Escombe, Queensburgh in Durban. We were fortunate to have the association of Prema Bhakti Maharaj who led the padayatra.
