First Padayatra In Johannesburg, South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa’s first padayatra is set to take place on the 9th of August to commemorate ISKCON’s 50th anniversary and to celebrate National Women’s Day in South Africa. The event will begin with a talk from Nandarani Dasi in conjunction with women from the public and private sector of the community.  The procession will start from the Lenasia Civic Centre, where Srila Prabhupada gave a lecture when he toured South Africa in 1975. The procession will conclude at Rose Park where prasadam will be served. It is expected that 300 – 400 people will be participating in the program.
