On January 11, we were staying at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir which is located at Utkela, Orissa. We meet all the school children and the techers. We organized a school program specially for children and teachers.
The school children were very cultured and also their teachers. When we all entered the school, all children offered us dandavats and as we started sankirtana they joined and danced in front of Their Lordships.
I am very happy to see the reactions of children because in the name of material advancement people are forgetting their culture and the children are just copying the elders. Mobiles have taken up all their brains. Neither their parents not their teachers teach them India’s real Vedic culture. But this school children were well mannered.
So our leader Dhirnayak Dasa gave class for them about being Krsna consciousness, that will keep them always cultured and they will be spiritually enlightened.
Thus padayatris are reviving the culture and values of the student, though a short Bhagavad Gita class. We also made them sing and dance on the Holy name. we requested teachers to make them recite sloks and read Gita. Teachers agreed and were happy with the proposal.
